Different ways to visit the Peggy Guggenheim Collection

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is most definitely one of the most loved and visited cultural attractions.  Surely, when vacationing in Venice, you won’t want to miss out on plunging into works of art collected by Peggy and at the same time admire Ca’Vernier dei Leoni, the marvelous palace facing the Grand Canal where the collection is held.

If you want to add to the experience, that in itself is already extraordinary, you can take advantage of the many initiatives organized by the museum that allow you to visit the permanent display, the exhibitions, and the internal spaces of the palace under a different light. Here are some suggestions, in particular during the month of June (but the initiatives run all year round) to uncover the Peggy Guggenheim Collection with new eyes.

One of the events organized by the foundation and most loved by Venetians and visitors is the Happyspritz that this year marks ten years running.  A moment to celebrate, with the classical Venetian aperitif, with Dj set and the possibility to visit the museum and the temporary shows “after hours.” The Happy Spritz has reinvented itself in a new adventure, StraOrdinari: Caparezza, Lara Gilmore and Bebe Vio, three exclusive guests, the 21st, 28th and 25th of June, that from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. will convey their non-conventional story, during aperitif hour, in the museum’s garden.

Art Night

Art Night is one of the most interesting events in the Venetian Summer. A night dedicated to art and museums. Saturday June 23rd from the 18th to the 22nd the Guggenheim Museums will participate in the 8th edition of Venice Art Night, the all night event promoted by Ca’Foscari University and the City of Venice. The entrance is free from 6 p.m. to 10 o’clock p.m. with a series of tour guides to visit the permanent collection and the temporary show, as well as the laboratory for kids Omaggio a Josef Albers.
